UniFi Manged Care Frequently Aksed Questions

Do I need to already own UniFi equipment to sign up for Managed Care?

Yes. UniFi Managed Care covers networks that are already running on Ubiquiti UniFi hardware — gateways, switches, access points, and cloud consoles. If you don’t have UniFi equipment yet, we can design and install a network first, then move you onto a Managed Care plan once it’s live.

How is my site's tier determined?

Your tier is based on the total number of managed UniFi devices at that site — this includes your gateway/security gateway, switches, access points, and cloud console. We count devices during the initial Health Check and confirm your tier before your first invoice.

What happens if I add more devices during my subscription?

If a device addition pushes you into a higher device-count band, we’ll let you know and adjust your monthly tier from your next billing cycle. Small additions within your current tier’s range don’t change your price.

Is this a contract, and can I cancel?

UniFi Managed Care is billed monthly in advance with no long-term lock-in. We ask for 30 days’ notice to cancel or downgrade, mainly so we can hand back a clean, documented network.

What counts as ``priority`` support under this plan?

Managed Care clients get a faster response SLA than ad-hoc or once-off support requests, for both remote troubleshooting and on-site call-outs. Exact response times are confirmed in your service agreement based on your tier.

Do you manage networks that aren't 100% UniFi (mixed vendor environments)?

Our Managed Care pricing and SLA are built around UniFi devices specifically. If your site has a mix of UniFi and other vendors (e.g. a different firewall or switch brand), let us know — we can usually still manage the UniFi portion and quote separately for the rest.

What's the difference between Managed Care and a once-off Health Check?

A Health Check is a single audit — a snapshot of your network’s health at one point in time. Managed Care includes that audit as day one, then keeps monitoring, patching, and optimising your network every month going forward.
