UniFi Frequently Asked Questions

What is UniFi Support & Callout Services?

It’s our pay-as-you-go, ad-hoc technical support for businesses and homes using Ubiquiti UniFi hardware. Whether you have an urgent network outage, need a configuration tweak, or require an onsite hardware fix, you pay only for the single job or callout—no monthly contract required.

How does pay-as-you-go pricing work?

We charge a transparent, standard rate for single-instance support. Remote troubleshooting is billed per ticket or hourly increment, while onsite visits carry a standard callout fee plus hourly labour. Contact us directly for a custom, upfront quote before we begin work.

What types of issues can you fix on an ad-hoc basis?

We handle a wide range of one-time UniFi requests, including:

  • Network outages, controller adoption issues, and gateway failures.

  • WiFi dead zones, slow speeds, and AP channel optimisation.

  • VLAN configuration, guest portal setup, and firewall rule creation.

  • Controller firmware upgrades and backup restorations.

  • Physical hardware replacements or cabling repairs.

Do you only work with UniFi, or can you integrate other brands?

We’re an authorised UniFi partner and it’s our core focus for this service, but we also work across TP-Link, Huawei eKit, H3C, Reyee and Cudy where a hybrid environment requires it.

How far do you travel for on-site work?

Our network technicians provide rapid onsite assistance throughout Gauteng, including Sandton, Midrand, Centurion, Randburg, Fourways, Boksburg, and surrounding areas.

What is the difference between UniFi Support and UniFi Managed Care?
  • UniFi Support (This Service): Designed for occasional troubleshooting, one-off fixes, and immediate ad-hoc needs. You only reach out and pay when something goes wrong or needs updating.

  • UniFi Managed Care: Our monthly SLA service. It includes 24/7 proactive cloud monitoring, automated configuration backups, guaranteed response times, and regular network health audits to prevent problems before they happen.
