The Mall WiFi at Hazyview Lowveld Mall and Junction Mall got a major upgrade from The Local IT Guy in partnership with Entelek IT Solutions. The project involved replacing CAT5e with a 1Gbps Fibre Single Mode Uplink at each cabinet, resulting in a faster and more efficient network infrastructure.

Our team recently completed a major networking project where we installed 14 brand-new Mikrotik SFP switches and an 18-port SFP aggregate switch, which is a fibre-only switch. We took great care in strategically placing 30 UniFi6 access points throughout the malls to ensure that every corner had full WiFi coverage. In addition, we extended the WiFi coverage to the bus and taxi rank area, so even those waiting for their ride can enjoy complimentary WiFi6 internet. With this upgrade, the malls now have faster, more reliable internet connectivity, and visitors can stay connected wherever they go.
